After having a very successful meeting with Dr.Brosnan at UC Davis, we are stopping for the night in Green River WY, four hours from CO state where we will demo again on Friday be for making the push back to the east coast.
The UC Davis started off with working on a research horse after going over the entire machine from every angel in a class room. The next day we were able to be a part of a colic case that came in.
It goes on to show our trip around Lake Tahoe witch was spectacular. Finally the pictures from the work on horses.
Once more pictures get up on the web i will post links here
Today we are demoing Tafonius at UC Davis durring the morning we are going over the the functions with 11 people from the school. This afternoon we will be working with a horse to show Tafonius in action.
After plowing through IA and NE in one day we decided to stop for the night as the temp started to drop and the rain started to come down in a small town called Kimble NE. We got dinner and went to bed with wet snow coming down. We awoke the next morning and got breakfast at a small dinner across the street. More and more truckers came in and the chatter started. ” We are gunna be here for a while” “yep they say if you are goen west its down but if you be heading east its all clear.” ”80s shut down from here strait across WY”.
Alright, it looks like we are stuck here for who knows how long. Jump ahead a few hours to 9 am and I80 is back open, so along with 200 other truckers, Stet and I head out. For the next few hours it is a bit touch and go with ice roads and blowing wind and snow across the great planes. The temp was down in the 20s. In the other lane we saw one semi flipped and boxes of fruit all over the place, and then another one was spun 180 and facing the wrong way. Nothing to crazy in our lane.
After lunch the day warmed up and there wasnt any more snow and ice so we pushed on to Salt lake City where we got dinner. ” lets get out side of town and find a place to stay for the night”
Fast forward to 11 pm after driving about 100 miles across the salt flats to the next town on the border of UT and NV where I write you now.
It was a long day saw some crazy stuff.
Pictures to come soon check back.
